A Touch of Loveliness

Yesterday we attended the Winnipeg Orchid Show, and I came away with a lovely pink splotched orchid...
something to lighten the days while we wait for spring weather.

Mexico Vacation

What a pleasant break from our wintery weather! We were truly spoiled by the great service at the resort, all presented with big smiles...

It was made more enjoyable because we spent time with our son and family...we always like being with our children and grandchildren...

That's us by the pool...

What a Contrast!!

My Hubby....

Yesterday...in Mexico

Today...in Winnipeg!

We arrived home to a snowstorm, so out came the snow blower today.
I wore my crocs on the plane, and had to walk through the snow which was well above my ankles to get to our house from the car...silly me! That was Cold!

Fluffing for Spring

With spring on it's way, I am bringing out some brighter accessories. The colours of spring are so refreshing....

One of my favorite jugs is the tulip one. There is also a matching mug. I bought these in Florida a few years ago, and now wish I had bought more pieces in this pattern.

A few pieces of Carlton ware.

3/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 cup vinegar
1/2 tsp. garlic salt
1/2 tsp. dry mustard
1/8 tsp. pepper

Lower Fort Garry, Manitoba

A few pictures taken at Lower Fort Garry, a National Historic Park near Winnipeg.

Many of the artifacts, such as this large water cooler, were imported from Britain.

Some lovely blue and white china

A "Red River Cart". It is said that the sound of squeaking wheels could be heard for miles.

A PROMISE WHICH WILL NOT BE BROKEN!

Genesis 8:22 (New International Version)
22 "As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will never cease."

Our yard in winter and summer.
