Tea Time–April 15, 2013

011
It’s snowing today…it’s not Spring in this neck of the woods! This calls for some good ole’ comfort food.
014-1
I made some old fashioned cornbread .
We will have it with Canadian maple syrup. Yummm!
022-1
Our Denby mugs will do nicely, filled with plain tea or strong coffee. My husband received several from his sister as gifts.

SANDI hosts a lovely tea time each week. Be sure to visit today.

Hello Millie,
I am delighted to have you join me for tea time today!
Today is the first real Spring like day we have had. I woke up to sunshine and it is 7 degrees here right now. What a lovely change from the snowy weekend we had!

Cornbread is one of my favourite treats and with maple syrup; yum! I haven't made it in a while and now I'm craving it! Nice mugs too.
Have a wonderful week and I hope it warms up soon for you.

Blessings,
Sandi

Still snowing! Your tea time treats look like a good way to combat the lingering winter. Maple syrup is good on almost anything!

I hope the weather soon turns (and stays) springlike for you.
Millie, that looks wonderful! I would love to tuck into that cornbread with you, particularly if you are putting maple syrup on it. I've never had it that way, bit it sounds great!

It's hard to believe you have snow when we are running the AC. It's pretty warm here. Our yardman is outside going at it with the weed eater. I hope it helps!

We had rain which greened-up the yard very nicely. Our bushes are bloomed out, but the leaves have come back on the trees in force. Oaks do this funny thing where they drop their leaves in Florida, only to get new ones in a matter of weeks.

XO,

Sheila

I totally agree as it is freezing cold here today and this week even more of the same. My tulips were coming up and are now all brown on the ground so something bad happened.
Oh dear, I sure hope Spring arrives soon for you. However, your comforting cornbread would be a wonderful treat with a cup of tea. Thank you for your sweet visit!

Mmmm...your cornbread looks divine and with maple syrup! Yum! We are getting snow here too. It's been snowing all day and I think we're up to about 12 inches of snow! Thanks for sharing :)

Hugs,
Stephanie

It's nice to see you back Millie. The corn bread and maple syrup sounds so good. I love your Denby mugs too. I'm sorry you are still getting such bad weather there still. Hopefully it will soon break into spring weather.
I make cornbread all the time and agree that it's comfort food. I've not used maple syrup on it though - love the idea!
Hi Millie,
Thankyou for visiting and leaving a comment. I like the peacock on your header, I have been eyeing that set at Macy's for my mother, she likes peacocks too. Have a great week. Gina
