You've been missed Millie. I hope all is well. Beautiful photos of your province. I only get to fly over it and never land. We'll be doing that again next month on our way to BC and Alberta. We did land in Winnipeg once in 1978 on the way to BC and took a one hour tour in a taxi to see the highlights! Blessings, Pamela

So nice to see a post from you. We've been to Manitoba for two very short visits years ago. My grandmother came from Steinbach. So we have a few ties to your friendly and beautiful province.

The Soft Colours of Summer

I love hydrangeas, and although we can grow the Limelight and Annabelle varieties fairly easily here in Manitoba, it is only recently that with some luck, we can overwinter Endless Summer. Endless Summer blooms in pink in our lime soil, unless we feed it with copper sulphate to bring out the blue . Last week, after a rainstorm, I noticed how soft and pretty the colours were. Victoria…and Me

The May-June 2009 Victoria magazine is one of my favorites, featuring blue and white... one of the open pages with an article on linens...it just happens that I have one of the patterns... There is also a feature on blue and white Wedgewood ... I have photographed some of my pieces alongside the article... ....here is my interpretation of blue and white... As a nod to the current issue of Victoria, which features some tea tables in green, I have  set out my own little tea table, with some scones... ...or perhaps you'd like to help yourself to a chocolate-cherry morsel?
