IMPROVISING...



We attended a lovely family wedding on Saturday. I had a little job to do...the groom's Grandma baked and iced the wedding cake, and I was to decorate it with flowers. Said flowers were to be provided by the florist and sent to the reception location. After looking everywhere, we realized they had been omitted. So, what to do??? We decided to improvise.. clipping a few flowers from the table arrangements and even the bridesmaid bouquets, and I think the end result was quite acceptable. What impressed me most was the attitude of the bride...so gracious!

The service and reception were beautiful and first class, but the prevailing tone of the day was that it was not all about the wedding, but WAS about the MARRIAGE! Good for them!

 Our Canadian Thanksgiving is in one week. Due to COVID, we won't be having a Thanksgiving family dinner this year, but I did some decorating anyway. This Thanksgiving will be different in another way also, as one of our Grandsons is getting married during the same weekend. Due to our Provincial rules, they are only allowed 10 guests The wedding will be held in his parents' back yard so another 10 of us will be seated in the yard next door to see the ceremony.+ It has been almost 2 years since I  last posted. Sometimes life events get in the way!

There is a cloche party today! Check out all the lovely posts at  A Stroll Thru Life I tried 2 figurines in my cloche: First is an Aynsley sheep which my Mom gave me.       Our little snowman violinist by Lennox is in the second set.       This is fun!
