Party Day…Our Deck

Rhondi is hosting a porch party, and I am very excited about seeing decks, porches, etc. from many places, encompassing climates and decor of all sorts.
We don’t have a porch, so we are welcoming you to our deck today. Please keep our Manitoba climate in mind, as you will notice our summer is just beginning, and plants are not very advanced yet.040 The afternoon sun is highlighting part of the table, and the rest is shaded by the umbrella. I have set the table in green and white, and because it will just be two of us , it is casual.
029049 Before the sun goes down, let’s see what else is on the deck….    another table with some lanterns and plants..050
..a bakers rack which I sprayed light green and which holds green plants..047 ..a bench with more of the tropical print…
 025…and a grouping of potted plants 034

Looking out at the yard, the sun is streaming in from the West.
031the days are longer now and it is still light….at 8:45…053 …and now finally night has fallen…it is now
10 p.m…..054 Good Night, all!059

Edited to add:
We were at our son's home today and I couldn't resist adding a couple photos of his deck and yard. It's a lovely spot!

Millie, What a beautiful post. That last nighttime photo is my favorite. I especially love the pale green Baker's Rack. You have such a lovely way with flowers and decorating! Hope you have a nice week.

You have a gorgeous deck! I didn't have a porch either. So mine was a deck also. Love that green baker's rack. Wish I could find one like it.

Oh, Millie... your deck looks WONDERFUL. I love how you've tablescaped it, too. I would love to visit you there, and I'm glad you shared it with us.

I'm late to Rhondi's because I got into a fight with a sling chair that wouldn't cooperate. It didn't want to have its picture made. I forced it, and now I'm here!

Happy Porch Party...

XO,

Sheila :-)

Beautiful! I am on Vancouver Isl, and although I suspect we see flowers sooner than you, I see bloggers from California posting months ago the flowers that are just appearing here now =) Love your outdoor area!
