Playing with Paper

Last week I spent a lovely afternoon with Cindy of Oakview Cottage. Cindy and her hubby have  a lovely home near the Red River. She gave me a cute star made from sheet music, and that got me started on a few little paper projects. I had an old music book  so I mod-podged a few candles, and then used my hounds tooth wrapping paper to cover the back of a hutch. Nice little changes, and fun to do….

Hi Millie, I used to follow your blog but kind of lost track of you once I started my own blog. I just looked through your recent posts and they are lovely. I really like your hutch all decorated with the new paper and the white dishes! I am friends with Cindy so found you again :-)

Your candles look beautiful! And I love them with the star that I made, the star looks at home there. Your hutch is gorgeous, what a lovely idea, to mod-podge the back of it in paper. Your dishes and vignettes are always SO pretty!

 Our Canadian Thanksgiving is in one week. Due to COVID, we won't be having a Thanksgiving family dinner this year, but I did some decorating anyway. This Thanksgiving will be different in another way also, as one of our Grandsons is getting married during the same weekend. There is a cloche party today! Check out all the lovely posts at  A Stroll Thru Life I tried 2 figurines in my cloche: First is an Aynsley sheep which my Mom gave me.       Our little snowman violinist by Lennox is in the second set.       This is fun!
