I have never visited our lovely Canadian province of PEI but if I did, I would want to visit Green Gables. When I was about 11, I read the “Anne” books, and imagined myself at the Lake of Shining Waters. etc. I thought I should set out my wedding china, Foley Devonshire, for our tea. The teapot is not matching, but the flowers are similar. Before we have our tea. let’s have a glass of Marilla’s famous raspberry cordial, non-alcoholic, of course! We’ll use the pretty cordial glasses I found at the thrift store recently. I always imagined lots of Queen Anne’s lace blooming on the island, and these placemats have a delicate border of what resembles that flower. I can identify with the following quote! “ Well, never mind. This day’s done and there’s a new one coming tomorrow, with no mistakes in it yet, as you used to say yourself.
