Tuesday Tea time Apr 8, 2014

We are home from the desert! Although our snow banks here are still very large, it is good to be home. I missed seeing all your blogs (no internet at the house we rented)

We saw some nice strawberries when shopping for groceries today, so I made some filled cream puffs for our tea .

The strawberries included with the filling use an unusual ingredient…pepper! I wasn’t sure I would like it, but it adds a certain depth to the flavour.

Welcome home Millie. I hope you enjoyed your nice break to a much hotter climate. Your tea time looks lovely and the strawberry cream puffs look delicious. I hope you have a wonderful week. Pam
Welcome home Millie. We've still got a fair bit of snow in our part of Ontario but it's starting to warm up outside.
I think pepper might be a surprisingly pleasant addition to recipes. A friend made scones that had pepper in one time and they were delicious.
Happy Spring.

Lovely! I love spring with the strawberries. Our local farms should be ready in a week or two. Welcome home!

Welcome Home. Those strawberry cream puffs look amazingly good.
Welcome home, Millie! You've been missed! It still looks like March here but Spring is in the air at last. Your cream puffs and strawberries look amazing. I would imagine a wee bit of pepper would add some interest. Yum! So happy you were able to join me for tea this week. Have a beautiful day.

Blessings,
Sandi

Glad you enjoyed the desert and the cactus. The strawberry and puff pastry look delicious. The fresh strawberries were hard here all winter so I didn't buy any. The watermelon has been delicious so that has been our sweet fruit this winter and now spring. Your tea table is so appealing. Have a great week!
