In Preparation....

It's a lovely, sunny day here in Manitoba...cold, but bright.
Yesterday was a very fun day as my daughter, daughter-in-law, granddaughter, and myself had an afternoon of baking...in preparation for the Christmas season.
The cookie cutters came out....

We had a good laugh when my mixer, which tends to start at a fast speed, created a mini snow storm on the counter!
It all calmed down though, and peppermint fudge was well mixed...

Granddaughter did a fine job of decorating her sugar cookies...
Our busy schedule didn't leave time to enjoy a cup of tea at the end of our baking marathon, but each went home with cookie tins filled with fudge, shortbread, sugar cookies, butterscotch squares, lemon snowballs, and pecan tassies.
.
For Tea Time Tuesday would you join me for a cup of tea with a chocolate truffle? We will use Lenox "holiday" china today.

Your granddaughter is beautiful! In that pose, she reminds me of Princess Kate! Peppermint fudge sounds yummy; I've never had that kind. Have a great Christmas, Millie!

I'd love to share a cup of tea and a chocolate truffle. Yum! Things are looking very festive around your place.
What fun you all had! The peppermint fudge looks delicious. Pink, just my colour! You ladies certainly were busy. I used to make fifteen kinds of sweets when my boys were growing up. The only thing I had help with was the donuts. It was my Daddy's and my tradition to make Christmas donuts together. Now I just make them by myself. I miss those days!

Your tea set is so pretty and looks very festive. Thank you so much for joining my tea party, Millie, it's always a pleasure to have you. Merry Christmas, my friend!

Blessings,
Sandi
Baking is always more fun with a friend or family member. Peppermint fudge sounds yummy.
What fun baking with your beautiful granddaughter, Millie. The peppermint fudge sounds divine and such a pretty color. Your tea at the end with your pretty Lenox dishes looks perfect after a fun day of baking.

I used to live in Winnipeg, Manitoba..so know those home grown bake time joys of togetherness..We used to have cookie bake offs and cookie exchanges... OMG where have those times gone...Maybe I'll have to start that tradition over again here...Thanks for the memories... Christmas hugs
