Tea Time - A Little Green

It's time for tea again, this time with a little Irish theme...

I have always wanted to bake Irish soda bread...it turned out a little lumpy, but very tasty!

I brought out some shamrock items..a cloth and a cream and sugar which I purchased at a thrift store....

the little teapot, although not truly Irish, seems to fit in nicely....

A  shamrock plant adds a bit more green....
This Irish prayer sums up my wish for you today.
May the road rise to meet you, May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face,The rains fall soft upon your fields. And until we meet again, May God hold you in the palm of his hand. May God be with you and bless you: May you see your children's children. May you be poor in misfortune, Rich in blessings. May you know nothing but happiness From this day forward. May the road rise up to meet you May the wind be always at your back May the warm rays of sun fall upon your home And may the hand of a friend always be near. May green be the grass you walk on, May blue be the skies above you, May pure be the joys that surround you, May true be the hearts that love you.

What a pleasant post for tea time, Millie. I haven't made my soda bread yet but yours looks wonderful. I almost picked up a shamrock plant too but got the tulips instead. I'm glad I did because we have dreary weather with another 48 cm of snow dumped on us since yesterday. The milk bottle and cottage teapot are very cute as well as your shamrock themed cream and sugar. Your table makes me want to cozy up to it. Thank you for sharing and joining me for tea today. Happy St Patrick's Day!

Blessings,
Sandi

I hardly remembered it was St. Patrick's Day until I began reading blogs this morning. Your teascape in honour of the day is fresh and pretty. The Irish soda bread looks yummy - something else I've never eaten or created.
Happy St. Pat's Day to you!
I love that adorable teapot! So cute! And I think the soda bread looks delicious.
Happy St. Patrick's Day, Millie.

Happy St. Paddy's Day! Your Irish tea setting is lovely.
Your St. Paddy's tea table looks lovely. I don't press the knife in too far to make the 'x' in my Irish soda bread, sometimes I even forget. Yours looks delicious and once cut in wedges, the bumps give it character.
Happy St. Patrick's Day.
