You've Come A long Way, Petunia!

In my younger years I disliked petunias and preferred that my Mom planted pansies, stocks, or phlox. Fast forward to today, and you will find petunias of many different types in my garden.

One of my favorites is "starry night". The flowers vary on the same plant, and are vivid shades from white to deep purple...truly a wonder in hybridizing!
Each morning I head first to the petunia pots to see these lovely blooms...

I hope you all are enjoying your summer days!

Hello Millie,
What colourful petunias! I love them myself. One year Hubby and I planted rows and rows of pink and white ones around our property and were they ever pretty! I don't know why we never did that again because they were such a show stopper when you drove up our driveway. Nice to see a post on here from you. Hope you are having a beautiful summertime.

Blessings,
Sandi

A friend gave me a Starry Night petunia and it's blooming beautifully. I hope to get more of them next year. Petunias are such stalwart flowers that bloom reliably for a long season. Yours are such beautiful colours.

Hi Millie, I'm just cruising through some of my blog list and saw your post so thought I'd stop by. Good to see you again. Your petunias are so beautiful! There are so many gorgeous colours and varieties of them now aren't there. I've sort of 'retired' from blogging in May but hope to post at the end of each month. Have a beautiful summer.
I love petunias and yours are fabulous!Such variety!

Hi Dear Millie, So nice to see an update. My mother loved petunias and the ones you share here today are lovely. I especially love the purple.
We look forward to using the university's walking track. They will also have a large pool, but I think we will pass on that!
God bless you.
