Carlton Ware for Tea

Today we will enjoy a cup of tea and some lemon poppy seed muffins served on a Carlton ware  plate.

I received a few pieces of Carlton ware for our wedding many years ago, and never quite realized how collectible it is until recently. I believe these pieces are “Wild Rose”. I like the odd shapes of the plates and the sculptured pattern of the flowers and leaves.

Here are a few more pieces:008

The lemon poppy seed muffins have just the right amount of tartness.

Now, I am heading over to Sandi’s for the weekly tea party, Yummm!

I love the dishes Millie. The green background color is the color of my kitchen. Those muffins are making me hungry. It's always fun visiting with you. Have a great week.
Hi Millie,
Your muffins look yummy! I really like your dishes! Green is a favourite colour of mine and I like the raised flowers on them. Thank you for joining me for tea today. It's always lovely to have you.

Blessings,
Sandi
Hello Millie,
the plate of your Carlton ware "Wild Rose" is nice but the remarkable beauty of this pieces is for me visible in the whole set. Love the handles with the little rose! The colors and the embossed design is really outstanding. I have never seen this design before and fall in love immediately. Thank you for sharing this very interesting tea set.
Best greetings, Johanna

I have never made poppy seed anything, but those muffins look wonderful.
