Autumn Tea

Sandi is hosting an Autumn Tea this week, so I gathered together our last flowers of the season (we had frost last night) and set a table for one…why just one?…well, because I only had one pumpkin mug, and one Danish apple square. I had a committee meeting at our house, and that was all that was left.

013-001

002-1I love my pumpkin mug!

006-001

I am going to miss my flower garden. The dahlias will now have to dug up and stored for the winter, and the zinnias must be pulled up and discarded. We will still have the dusty miller, mums, and ornamental cabbage a little while longer.

008-001

In the meantime, let us all enjoy the vibrant colours of fall!

Hello Millie, You always make the most extraordinary floral arrangements. These fall colors are so nice. I have a pumpkin tea cozy but no pumpkin mug yet!
Wishing you a good afternoon. I treasure our friendship through blogging - it's nice to know another Mildred!

What a pretty tea table, Millie! Your floral arrangement is just lovely and the pumpkin mug is too cute. Your sweet looks good too. I am missing my flowers too although I didn't have many this year. Mostly roses. Thank you for coming to tea today and Happy Autumn!

Beautiful! I love your vignette and your pumpkin mug is perfect for the occasion. My plants are doing well so far as we haven't had a frost yet. Have a great week!
Everything here has frozen several times already. Your flowers are beautiful. Pretty pumpkin cup.
What a lovely flower assortment. Your garden must be wonderful! I love your pumpkin mug! The dessert looks wonderful...must have been if the committee only left you one piece! LOL! Thanks for sharing your lovely fall tea and linking with Tuesday Cuppa Tea!

hi Millie,
What a cute mug! Your tea table is so pretty and I've had lots of tea for one (me) and enjoy them so much. I'm missing my flower beds too. I need to get outside and cut down the perennials soon, but like to leave them as long as weather permits for the birds.

Greetings Millie...

A wee piece of your apple square with tea would be just lovely ...especially in your cheery pumpkin mug...You've certainly captured the vibrant spirit of the fall colours in your tablescape.

I too, am putting my garden to rest for yet another year... although my gallardia and few sunflowers are still blooming. We at least sill have a maybe another month of colourful leaves yet to enjoy....HUGS

Hello Millie,
Your autumn tea setting is beautiful. I like your pumpkin mug... so cute. And your flowers are so gorgeous. Happy Autumn!
Blessings,
