Tartan Coffee Time

I LOVE tartan!008-1

At Christmas I bring out my tartan mugs and plates. They usually are displayed on a kitchen shelf along with some greens and candy canes. I bought them many years ago at a warehouse sale. There are no markings regarding the manufacturer. Today I have set them out for coffee.  I do have a cake, but it isn’t really picture-worthy.

011-1

The little tartan tins are a piggy bank from Scotland, and a tin which once held fudge from Harrods…only a sweet memory now…

010-1

This season is  busy with so many good times we often don’t have time to sit down, enjoy a cup of coffee, and think about what Christmas is all about…I am trying to make time for that this year.

013-1

Sandi is hosting Christmas tea parties all month and i always look forward to what she and others have prepared, so I am heading over there now…

Your tartan mugs are lovely. I love the mantel decor in the background of the first picture, too - looks like you are all set up for Christmas.

Yes, it's good to take time to focus on what the season really means.

I love your bright and cheery tartan, Millie! It is so perfect for Christmas and your tins are nice too. You have a lovely spot there by the fireplace. Taking time to sit and reflect upon the true meaning of Christmas is so very important and you have chosen wisely. Thank you for sharing this with Tea Time and and have a wonderful week, my friend.

Blessings,
Sandi

Hi Millie,
I love your tartan plaid! I'd have snatched those up, too. They make such a pretty statement at Christmas time.

I like the tartan mugs and plates for this time of year. I have a black scotty candy dish that would look good with some tartan decor. I'll have to share it for tea one week.

I love the red tartan, too! Your mugs and plates are very pretty. Superstore has tartan dishes in red and I"ve had my eye on them. Hopefully I can pick them up for nothing after the holidays!
I can walk a long distance again! My knee is pretty much healed, so please let me know a good time for you! I'm looking forward to seeing you, before Christmas.
Hugs, cindy
