Tea - in the literary sense

I don't have many tea themed books, but this little recipe book caught my eye when on vacation in Scotland. The recipes are very typical of the fare one might find when out for tea in the afternoon, or for a meal.

Hi Millie,
I couldn't believe my eyes when I visited your blog and saw this little book! I also have a copy of this, given to me by someone who was in Scotland on holiday, and knew I would appreciate a 'different' kind of cookbook. I can't remember if I have cooked anything from it, but seeing it here has motivated me to dig it out of the bookshelf and have another read!

Looks like a lovely book. I love Scotland and tea in Great Britain just has a wonderful feel about it that is hard to duplicate in the states. Enjoy...

Monday Mosaic - The Flowers of Autumn

Last week we had a killing frost, so our flowers are almost all gone. However, I have the memory and the photos of a lovely summer, with lots of blooms. I have put together a mosaic of the shades of fall.   The central photo is an arrangement I made for our (Canadian) Thanksgiving dinner, using a variety of garden flowers. Today is the day when talented folks join Mary for a special Monday treat.
