DOG-SLEDDING!

2010-01-17

You will just have to take my word for it!…I couldn’t get better pictures as I was a little too far away.

Yesterday we celebrated our daughter – in law’s birthday at her house, and looked over next door to see their English bulldog tobogganing! Yes..he was! He has been out playing with the kids all winter, and has now learned the routine…get on the toboggan,,,give his body a slight jerk to start the motion…enjoy the ride…get hold of the rope and drag the sled to the top of the hill..and do it over again… All he needed was a scarf and goggles and he would have looked like the Red Baron…

Oh, we laughed!…especially when later the family all came outdoors and we saw the Dad slide down the hill, and the dog drag the toboggan up for him! I am putting this on Mosaic Monday at Mary’s, where you will find much clearer photos…

That is one smart dog! Pets never cease to amaze me how much they pick up hanging around the family members. Lucky for him he has on a fur coat to keep the cold away:)

What a fun dog! I wish he could've met our Molly (black lab-chow mix); she would have loved to ride with him. I'm so glad you got pictures of his great caper!

That is so funny! What you needed was a movie camera to send the footage in to one of those shows on TV or put on YouTube.

Haha! That wasn't the sort of dog sledding I was imagining. My dog loves to ride on anything. Golf cart, four-wheeler, tractor. Anything as long as she's with her people.

Ohhh, that is just too funnY!!! I have never heard of a dog doing that, he must be very smart. I grew up in snow country in Northern BC, there was lots of sledding and lots of dogs, but none of them did that! Thanks for the laugh today, I will tell my husband about this one. Hugs, Cindy S.

Hi Millie,
What a smart dog! I'm glad he knows how to have fun in the wintertime; now if only some of the rest of us could!! Enjoyed your photos and hope you have a wonderful day.

Blessings,
Sandi
