The Garden - July 20th, 2011

We have had some hot weather, so most days the flowers look quite wilted, but it is cloudy today, so I managed to get a few photos.
....the baker's rack, on the deck...

This is a close up of the pink plant on the baker's rack..one of my favorites this year,,,a type of miniature petunia, very prolific, and not trailing.
A view of the yard...we have too much clover in our lawn, and it is rather dormant from the heat...
I love the "Endless Summer" hydrangea..I treated some of the plants with aluminum sulphate to bring out the blue, but I left others pink, which is the norm for our soil.

Ornamental cabbage...very leafy!

In the background is Egyptian onion, or garlic, which forms heads at the top of each stem.

I haven't flaunted my flowers over at Tootsie's for some time, but I'm joining in today.

I thank you so much for linking in this week. It is an honor to host Friday's Flaunt and meet new friends and visit the regulars (who are like old friends) who share. I am always excited to tour each post and see the different flowers/ projects and garden art that everyone flaunts. It is a pleasure to tour and see all the gorgeous blooms...and I appreciate each and every link and comment! I hope you will link in again soon!

Your garden looks so beautiful and full of colour! I like that pink petunia in the pot too. I guess your garden likes the heat! Have a super weekend.

What a beautiful flower bed. It is a feast for the eyes. Love the hydrangeas. Mine are not doing well this year for some reason. Maybe they did too well last summer. LOL! Have a wonderful weekend.

Hi Millie, I don't know how I missed this post. What fabulous flowers! I have never had success with hydrangeas but yours are just so pretty! You are so very gifted at arranging - whether it be in the garden beds are in an arrangement!

I love your colouful garden Millie. You must have spent a lot of time to produce such a lovely display. The hydrangeas are a beautiful colour. Mine tend to be more pink. I should try that trick to turn them blue :)
Thanks for sharing. I have come via Cindy's blog and look forward to visiting again.
