Lighting Things up a Bit

Our 30 year old dining light fixture was showing it's age so this week, with a little lots of help, my husband installed a new chandelier. It only took 2 years for us to decide on one we liked! It came wth silver lined black shades as well as the white silk.

We hung the new one much lower, according to instructions on the internet. Now it just takes some getting used to!

I am loving your new chandelier Millie! We, make that I, need to replace our 20 year old white ceiling fan light over the dining table too and I am looking for just that style of fixture. Could you share with me where you purchased it? I do need to know if it is bright as I read the newspaper at the dining table and do other things there that require light. We do have a dimmer switch on it now for low/romantic lighting. Thanks so much. I think it looks great and the idea of hanging it lower is what they say to do and would take some getting used to. Enjoy the day! Pamela
