Tea Time December 3, 2012

At this busy time of year it is nice to sit down and relax with a refreshing cup of tea, ….in my case Earl Grey tea.

I baked fruitcake last week, so we can sample a slice. I use Rose Murray’s recipe every year. It is loaded with pecans and almonds, and candied fruit.

On this cool winter day, let's go on over and  enjoy other tea settings at Sandi’s weekly party. Thanks, Sandi, for being an excellent hostess!

Wow, Millie. Such a gorgeous tablescape and your fruit cake looks so delicious! Always so delightful to share tea with you!
Millie, what a wonderful setting for your tea and fruitcake. I wish I could share a slice with you. I happen to love fruitcake.
Hi Millie,
what a pretty tea setting. The Holly teacup and the Tartan Mug and plate makes a wonderful setting. And the cake looks really yummy. Thank you for sharing this cozy tea time and have a wonderful Advent time.
Best greetings, Johanna
I like the plaid you've used for your tea table and a slice of fruitcake with our tea sounds delicious.
What an absolutely lovely tea, Millie! The plaid is just wonderful! I wish my hubby liked it. Your mantel is beautifully decorated and everything looks very festive at your house. Your fruitcake looks delicious. I am making mine tomorrow. Thank you for coming to tea.

Blessings,
Sandi

Love the tea service and the uniquely-shaped teapot. And that cake looks professional. The bright reds and greens of the candied fruit work really well!

Visiting from Sandy! :)

Take care!

Your table setting is gorgeous! The fruitcake looks really good. I made Dundee cakes, a type of fruitcake, this year. Your fireplace and mantel look pretty as well. Merry Christmas!

Have you heard the big news??? I just posted about it. I am SO excited. :-)

The fruit cake looks yummy! And I love your tea things -- my Christmas china is plaid as well and I'm looking for a teapot, creamer and sugar to go with -- and yours would be perfect! I'll be out and about this week and that's my one "look for" and want!
