Tablescape - White plus Blue

Image
Kathleen has invited us to Part II of Let There Be White Tablesetting Party.. Everyone is invited..set with white dishes and one other color for linens etc... My table setting includes wite and blue, two of my favorite colours: The main white china is Royal Worcester Gold Chantilly. I purchased the blue and white napkins at a garage sale ..$7.00 for a set of one tablecloth, 4 large napkins, and 4 luncheon napkins. The glasses are Fostoria, I think. I changed the center arrangement  for this photo. Here is the link to this happening: http://www.cuisinekathleen.com/2009/08/let-there-be-white-part-ii.html

Mosaic Monday- altered tags

It is so much fun to see flowers from a variety of climates. Here is what is blooming in our garden this week: A rabbit, enjoying silver toned plants: A view of the back garden: Dahlias This is a nice compact plant, but I can't remember it's name. I 'll plant it again, as it is very reliable.

Birds Hill Park

Image
We took 2 grandchildren to Birds Hill park this morning!). We saw a couple of "fairy rings" and lots of mushrooms. Chokecherries are very plentiful this year. Goldenrod is abundant Due to our rainy summer, the evergreens have done very well. This man made hill was built in 1984 for the visit of the Pope.

Mosaic Monday ---cool summer whites...

Image
Today is Mosaic Monday, and my contribution is a montage of white...somehow the warm weather we now have inspires me to think of all things white. I did include a photo of our garden in winter (just to remind me!). I have switched out the china in the cabinet to white for now. It will likely change again in September. I also included a shot of some of the 600 perogies we made for our family reunion. Head on over to Mary's and check out many other mosaics on this fine Monday. http://dearlittleredhouse.blogspot.com/2009/08/mosaic-monday-summertime.html
