Flaunting Flowers August 6, 2009

The summer is flying by so quickly, and the garden shows it! Every week new blooms emerge. Tootsie is the host of this weekly event, and her flowers can't be beat! There are some other beautiful posts on this subject, so head over there.

Beautiful deck! This is my first year at growing herbs and I didn't know quite what to do - next year I'll combine in one or two pots instead of individual pots for each.

You have such pretty flowers and some that aren't so commonly grown. I love the look! How convenient to have your herbs all together and by the back door. Do you use them a lot?

Beautiful deck. I miss having my container garden on the deck this summer. And I'll be borrowing your idea of having lots of herbs in one pot. What a peaceful setting. You'll find I say that a lot... because it's true. There's nothing better than sitting outside in a beautiful garden.

YOur deck is soooo pretty!! I cut my monarda back when it starting fading and falling over, it's now blooming again..

I've never seen a Lysianthis - it is so very delicate looking. I love your Monarda, I keep saying I have to get some every time I see it. Next year I will definitely have it on my wish list. All of your flowers are lovely - love the deck!

I love hydrangeas, and although we can grow the Limelight and Annabelle varieties fairly easily here in Manitoba, it is only recently that with some luck, we can overwinter Endless Summer. Endless Summer blooms in pink in our lime soil, unless we feed it with copper sulphate to bring out the blue . Last week, after a rainstorm, I noticed how soft and pretty the colours were. Victoria…and Me
