This weekend I am participating in a craft sale at one of our historic Winnipeg houses. Many folks come to the sale just to see the house, which is now operated by the University of Winnipeg Womens club.
The room I am in is called the "taupe room", and has some lovely antique furniture. If you look closely at some of these photos, you will be able to see the lovely wood finishes and carving.
Hi Millie, Thank you for stopping by my blog today and thank you for your kind comments. I have to admit, I have mixed feelings about the new look in the bathroom. It's quite a departure from what was there before. Much quieter now! The good thing is, I can always change it back someday because I am not parting with that floral shower curtain. By the way, I always enjoy reading your blog too. Have a lovely weekend.
Hi Millie, Thank you so much for visiting me and leaving the helpful advise on how to do the header.I was finally able to do that. Thanks again, Carolyn
Millie, oh. . .I wish you lived a bit closer. . .I'll have to let one of the girls from the Mennonite Girls Can Cook blog . . .she lives in your neck of the woods. . .your decor is just lovely.
Thank you so much for stopping by my blog this morning and leaving such encouraging words.
Christmas is just around the corner! Just a few photos pertaining to the season. My sister –in-law sews these little napkins…when folded they form a Christmas tree shape, and she has chosen very nice fabric. They go so well with my Gold Chantilly china and a gold pinecone as an accessory. She sells them for only $6.00 for a set of four! Each week I anticipate seeing all the lovely collages at Little Red House . Thanks to Mary.
Today is Mosaic Monday, and my contribution is a montage of white...somehow the warm weather we now have inspires me to think of all things white. I did include a photo of our garden in winter (just to remind me!). I have switched out the china in the cabinet to white for now. It will likely change again in September. I also included a shot of some of the 600 perogies we made for our family reunion. Head on over to Mary's and check out many other mosaics on this fine Monday. http://dearlittleredhouse.blogspot.com/2009/08/mosaic-monday-summertime.html
